As you all know, we successfully completed our Kickstarter campaign last month. We want to communicate with our backers regularly and as necessary as we get more information as we move through the production process. We started the tooling process (called opening the molds in the industry) before the campaign ended. Fortunately, we were not counting on the funding from Kickstarter to start this process and seeing as everything across manufacturing and shipping sectors is taking longer than expected, we wanted to get the ball rolling as soon as possible. Our product engineer and the tooling manufacturer engineers have been in constant communication. It can take up to 60 days to complete the tools and receive the first samples. We will continue to update every 2 weeks or so to keep you posted.
It is becoming less and less likely we will be able to deliver the BumperBars in time for the holidays. In anticipation of unexpected delays, we have ordered BumperBar Gift Boxes that we can send out in time for the holidays. This will allow anyone who was planning to gift a BumperBar the opportunity to still do so. The box will have some BumperBar swag and a gift description of what's on the way.
Lastly, we learned through this process that many Kickstarter Backers have been burned in the past or are still waiting, sometimes years later for their rewards. Rest assured, your BumperBar will be delivered. Nothing is stopping us now! But, we know things change. If for any reason you no longer want your BumperBar, just send us a message and we will refund the entire amount of your pledge. We are so excited to get this new BumperBar out to our Backers. If for any reason you don't share that excitement with us, let us know and we will make it right.
